About Larry Shapiro, Ph.D.

A middle-aged man with glasses, a beard, and short dark hair, wearing a white dress shirt, sitting on a black leather chair against a plain light-colored wall.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and therapist with over 30 years of experience, specializing in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy (PAP).

Though licensed to see people in person in Missouri and New Jersey, I see patients across the country via telehealth as a member of PsyPact (https://psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap). Individuals and families seek me out because of my common-sense, practical, solution-focused style based in principles of cognitive-behavioral therapy.

In addition to my full-time clinical practice, I am an Adjunct Instructor of Psychiatry at Washington University School of Medicine where I lecture and consult with the Health Mind Lab and act as a a clinical advisor for the Center for Holistic Interdisciplinary Research in Psychedelics (CHIRP).
